Bob has explored the far reaches of the Southwest, searching for sublime vistas and finding inspiration for his art.

The deserts of North America are tremendously varied, each region reflecting the climate as well as the geology and geography. Bob's landscape paintings capture the sublties of the Mojave, Great Basin, Sonoran, and Colorado Plateau.

His travels inspire him and give him the opportunity to paint in the field and to bring sketches and photographs from which to create developed studio paintings.

The remote North Rim of the Grand Canyon is one of his favorite places. He has ventured far from the tourist destinations, to Kanab, SB, Timp, Fire, and many other remote "Points", usually accompanied by Teresa and Josie.

On recent trips, they have visited the plateau north of Lake Powell, Kodachrome Basin, and Hurricane Mesa in Utah.
